BuyOnlineNow, an online office products retailer, finished 2008 with sales of $28.6 million, a record $9 million increase over 2007 sales.
BuyOnlineNow grew its 2008 sales in North America 45.4% year over year on its web sites BuyOnlineNow.com in the USA and BuyOnlineNow.ca in Canada.
“We experienced dramatic growth in a number of products categories, notably the janitorial and break room supplies categories which grew 263% and 189% respectively.” said BuyOnlineNow founder & CEO Bob Herman. “But I’m most proud of the fact that returning customers continue to represent nearly 60% of our sales. We do our utmost to provide every customer with the best possible service, and we believe that our service is the reason customers return to BuyOnlineNow time and time again.”
BuyOnlineNow ended 2008 with the December launch of their new Absolutely, Positively, 100% Free Shipping program in the US. “We shop on the Internet just like our customers, and we really dislike surprises.” Said Herman “Many stores have big ‘Free Shipping’ messages on their sites, but when you read the fine print you find that they don’t really mean free. Our shipping policy is very simple. Place an order with us, no matter how big, and we’ll ship it to your location for free, period!” Customers responded very positively to the new program, with orders up 104.8% year over year in December.”
