Choosing Paper Shredders by Usage
Personal Shredders
Personal Paper Shredders are specifically designed to meet a single user's needs and budget. Generally, personal paper shredders are considered light-duty and are made smaller to be used in small or home-offices.
Office Shredders
Office Paper Shredders have a slightly higher daily sheet capacity than the personal shredders, and also usually use a larger waste bin. Office shredders are perfect for small-office environments with only a few employees.
Departmental Shredders
Department Paper Shredders are designed to be used in larger or shared office environments. If there are more than ten employees, who will be shredding documents on a daily basis, a department paper shredder may be the right choice.
Commercial Shredders
Commercial Paper Shredders are made for large offices where documents need to be shredded daily. Commercial shredders usually have a high sheet capacity, and are built tough to withstand repeated shredding sessions.
High-Capacity Shredders
High-Capacity Paper Shredders are engineered to be able to run all day every day, and usually have an extremely large sheet capacity. As these machines are generally very big, they work best for offices that have the space to designate a room, or department just to paper shredding.
Specialty Shredders
Specialty Paper Shredders are the shredders that don't necessarily fit into any of the other categories. These vary from shredders that can shred large items like 3-ring binders, to military deployment shredders.
